What are our plans? Who are we?
Ok - so we are not really aiming a rocket ship at the stars..we just really, really like to see people having fun and lots of it.
HISTORY
Andy & Heather - the main organisers of the events we run - have seen the entertainment industry from both sides, both as entertainers themselves and as agents. Andy is still an act in his own right, we formed a duo 'That's Life!' many years ago and both Andy and the duo performed on ferries, cruises, summer seasons in Europe as well as in Australia. Over the course our professional entertainment careers we have been privileged to work with some amazing and extremely talented musicians. When we first came to Spain we were still travelling and performing, using our Spanish home as a base. Costa Blanca Events was born as we still love entertaining folks even though we seldom appear as a duo these days. So came the idea to organise music festivals and hopefully provide a different kind of music event. We have been providing this service for a number of years.
OUR AIMS
Our aim is to provide well organised events with quality entertainment in an environment that is fun and at a reasonable price and supports local charity. We have long supported local charity 'Rock Against Cancer', the music connection being an obvious one. We appreciate their efforts to bring practical help to the whole family that has a relative suffering from cancer in our community. We have also supported Cruz Roja and Easy Care Horse Rescue Centre, both also notable causes. Up to the point of writing this we have raised over €7500 in aid of charities by running raffles and various other money raising schemes and by topping those amounts up from ticket sales. We will make it clear on each event which charity or charities we are supporting.
Our aim always has been to make small amounts of 'profit' so that we can pay for future flights, transport, accommodation etc for bigger acts and bands thus ensuring a fresh and good variety of great entertainment . We are legally registered in Spain and pay IVA & taxes on ticket sales.
OUTDOOR EVENTS
As with all outdoor events, which our events are, weather is a concern always. It is very important to us that all festival attendees understand that these are open air events and understand the weather can change and be prepared accordingly. We are truly blessed with fantastic weather in Spain but it can drop cool at times and we can have unexpected heat waves so we do ask that you are prepared for any eventuality to ensure you have the maximum fun possible.
OUR VENUES
We work very closely with our venues to try and ensure a great customer experience. We are restricted in what and when we can do things as these venues do offer their stages for free. Start times and indeed dates are often dictated by venues for obvious reasons - they have to consider their other guests and staffing.
OUR ACTS
We try to provide quality acts and a good variety so that there is something for everyone and even if an act has to pull out for any reason, there is still a great festival. If an act has to cancel, if it is in good time, we will replace that act where possible and advise of that change through social media. As with all live events, despite our best efforts, last minute changes to the line-up can occur.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
We have an incredible 'army' of volunteers that help us out at each event, too many to mention. They all do their bit to make each event special from backstage management, compere duties, putting out tables and chairs, directing people to the car parks, checking people in, selling raffle tickets and many other small but important tasks that ensure things run smoothly and we are truly grateful to each and every one.
